Lunch at the Centre Cafe
For lunch today we went to the Centre Cafe, the newly opened placed that is owned by Kinyon & Tulocay Catering. It is all part of the Made In Napa Valley family where they use several amazing Made In Napa Valley Products in what they make.
After you place your order at the counter, they give you a number in a handmade little tree ~ cute!
The interior in the Centre Cafe and their Made In Napa Valley store is cozy yet classy. I really LOVE the accents of the rock, the wood tables and decorations throughout.
I thought their table decorations were so cool. Look closely ~ the arrangement includes asparagus, green onions and parsley.
Since we had a 2 for 1 coupon for lunch, we decided to splurge a little and get their “Fry Sampler”. I LOVE the sweet potato fries are rubbed with a smoked chili & brown sugar rub and honestly probably picked out all of them from here. Oh and they serve it up with a roasted red pepper ketchup that is AMAZING!
I ordered the Tulocay Flatbread ~ “A Parmesan flatbread with housemade pesto, roasted red peppers and fontina cheese; topped with dfresh greens tossed in garlic herb balsamic vinaigrette.” They use Made In Napa Valley Garlic Parmesan Dipping Oil in the dressing ~ YUM! I had 2 slices of my pizza and all my salad.
My flatbread was loaded with roasted red peppers, pesto and that fontina cheese was sooooo creamy! It was really a rich and decadent pizza.
My co-worker ordered the Garden Calzone “ Fire roasted organic vegetables and creamy goat cheese, wrapped in herb pizza dough” They use the Made IN Napa Valley Roasted Tomato Tapenade with it. It looked delicious, now, if I only liked goat cheese
LOL….
It was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon lunch even if it seemed like the shortest hour ever. We did head over to the Made In Napa Valley store next door and I managed to not buy anything ~ Phew!
I am not sure what we are doing tonight, but, I am sure The Husband will want to do something since he has been home all day. Just a little bit longer and the weekend starts ~ yeah!
See you all later!
Tons of fun stuff today…..Check it out!
Happy Friday all! I am so glad the weekend is only hours away and we have a fun, but busy weekend. Our good friends are getting married and it’s my super adorable nephew’s 2nd Birthday Party ~ fun times.
Thanks to everyone for your awesome comments on my new purse, dress and day – they all made my day even brighter
I definitely think I am keeping the purse because yellow is a happy color and well I can always just buy another one in a neutral color when it catches my eye
I had a simple breakfast to start my morning. An Orowheat Double Fiber English Muffin topped with a melty tablespoon of PB&Co The Bees Knees Peanut Butter and a little Pomegranate Blueberry Jelly that I bought a the farmer’s market awhile back. YUM – PB&J is just a combo that never gets old.
I peeled and chopped up a peach on the side. I LOVE peaches but I have issues with the fuzzy skin.
The two stars of the show wanted to be in the picture too so I included them. I also had some decaf Starbuck’s coffee but it was still brewing at picture time.
My mid-morning snack included cheese & crackers - Annie’s Bunny Grahams ~ I am LOVING these and a Sargento Low-Fat Colby Cheese.

Today my co-worker and I are heading out to lunch to Made In Napa Valley. They just re-opened and gave us all 2 for 1 coupons – you can’t beat that!
Have a fantastic Friday all ~ I hope the day flies by for us all so we can get the weekend started.
Some “Me” Time Shopping
Some days are your day and some days are not ~ Today was not my day for sure. Lucky for me though, there was some good in my day…..I dig my new doctor, had some delicious food, a little retail therapy and some great company hanging out with The Husband tonight. In the bigger picture of things ~ isn’t that really all that matters – to have one person in your life that can always brighten any cloudy day? Oh and shopping plus not having to cook also helps
This morning, my co-worker brought over one of the Blueberry Streusel muffins she made today so I traded in my morning Lemon Meringue Greek Yogurt Snack for it. It was definitely tasty, but, then again, I am not sure I’ve ever met a muffin with streusel topping I haven’t loved.
I have been looking forward to my lunch ALL morning because it includes all the delicious things I’ve been craving/eating lately. I started off with a slice of Trader Joe’s 3-Seeded Bread toasted and topped it with Trader Joe’s Roasted Red Pepper Spread and The Hummus Guy’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus…..I actually think I started to drool at this point
Then, I added a sliced summer squash that I roasted in some nonstick spray this morning
and 1 BIG slice of Tillamook Pepper Jack Cheese!!! This was such an amazing veggie sandwich – sorta like pizza bread with crunch a kick and CHEESE – YUM-O!!!
For sides, I may have had a Lemon Pepper Chip or two in the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus along with some crunchy baby carrots…..
And some more of those fantastic cherry tomatoes.
All together, my lunch was so easy to make, so filling and only 5 Weight Watcher Points ~ You gotta love that!
After lunch, it was off to my doctor’s appointment and then out for some “Me Time” retail therapy. There is just something about Froyo+shopping (& finding something you LOVE) that makes me happy! i stopped at the new BayBerry Frozen Yogurt & Gelato place that just opened up near us. I had the hardest time deciding what I wanted, but, the guy behind the counter was awesome! He offered up samples on anything I wanted to try and then let me mix 3 Flavors of Froyo to make my custom blend. I picked original (think sweetened, frozen greek yogurt), strawberry and chocolate then topped it with yogurt chips. Oh and this is the SMALL size. EVERY single bite was amazing……My receipt also has 10% off my next purchase so I definitely see another trip here soon.
I have to share with you all the fun stuff I bought today. I was in search for a cute summer dress to wear to our friends wedding. So many of the summery dresses are gone and the fall ones are in ~ what’s up with that. I was really happy to find this super cute patterned dressing that is form fitting at the top, shaping at my waist and it flows down to just above my knees.
I bought cute shoes to wear with my dress even though they are 1 size bigger than I wear – they were on sale and I wanted them
Ok ~ so I totally need your opinion here. I have been on the lookout for a new purse forever but haven’t found anything that screams out to me to buy it. Today, at the Fossil Outlet, I came across this fun yellow purse. I think it’s really cute and different from the standard browns and blacks that go with everything. I am not sure I get the two straps – handle plus detachable shoulder though. The Husband thinks I shouldn’t keep it because he thinks yellow will class with everything. What do you think – keeper or returner?
I bought a matching brown leather mini wallet to go with it too.
I stopped in at Barnes & Nobles and ended up picking up two new books and an US Magazine that I missed out on the picture because The Husband was reading it – Ha!
When I got home, The Husband said he wanted to go out to get a quick bite and spend some “us” time together since we haven’t been able to really do that lately. I was all for that because honestly I just wasn’t feeling cooking today. We went to M&S Tasty (local all in one place) ~ the food is super tasty and we love the owners – they are so nice. I had one of these homemade eggrolls – They are packed with chicken & noodles – so good!
For my main dish I ordered the Low-Fat Teriyaki Chicken Soba Noodles. I ended up giving all the chicken to The Husband. I just wasn’t feeling it and he LOVED it to go along with his steak sandwich and fries.
I cannot wait to dig into my new books ~ are you all seeing why I have a book stack now and never seem to finish my books?! LOL I just get too excited for new books and I want to read them all. I really need to make it a point to stick with one book until I am done reading it.
Off to watch TV with The Husband while I read my new books! I cannot wait for tomorrow ~ it’s Friday and it’s only a few short hours before our fun weekend plans start ~ Yeah!
See you all in the morning!
