<p>The cool part is this is only after 1 month ~ you can see what our garden looked like when we planted it over on <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/our-new-garden-the-weekly-menu">this post</a></strong>.</p>
<p>I absolutely LOVE looking out our kitchen window every morning and seeing this….I really do tell The Husband to come look every day because his “corn” looks bigger…..and, the part that is even funnier….<strong>.He always says “Hi Corn!”</strong></p>
<p>Yup, that’s why I think we need to get out more!</p>

<p>Speaking of that ~ <strong><a href="http://houseofprimerib.net/">House of Prime Rib</a></strong> might just be my all time FAVORITE place in the world now.&#160; I have never ordered Prime Rib (ever ~ it’s too “beefy” to me, but, I would go back just to eat it there).&#160; I counted every single point of my dinner from the hot sourdough bread to the garlic mashed potatoes and wine ~ all 41 points+ worth.</p>
<p>Then, I made sure I was up at 5 AM on and the treadmill for another <strong>Couch to 5K 30 minute run/walk this morning.</strong></p>
<p>On my way in I stopped for a Venti Iced Coffee with 1 pump Mocha, 1 Pump Vanilla and a splash of 1/2 and 1/2 for 2 points+.</p>

I have been so conflicted on if I wanted to go back and watch it all or not since I felt like I was missing out.&#160; However, I think the general consensus was to pass on this season for sure.</p>

<p>I am not sure if I ever told you all, but, it was my hairdresser who introduced me to Dirty Lattes.&#160; Last week when we were chatting it up and talking about different ideas for things to order at Starbuck’s, a <strong>Dirty Americano </strong>came up.</p>
<p>I was telling her how I go for Iced Americano’s or Coffees when I want to save on points+ versus having my Iced Dirty Latte……and then, it hit me.</p>
<p>Why not order a Dirty Americano?!&#160; I mean, how FUN is that to say LOL and it is even less points+ than a Dirty Latte.</p>
<p>Venti Iced <strong>Dirty Americano</strong> = Iced Americano (espresso &amp; water) with 2 pumps Mocha for….drumroll…..<strong>only 1 points+.</strong>&#160; I added a splash of half &amp; half for another 1 points+.</p>
<p>It was delicious and although I cannot check off a dairy, it’s my favorite new thing.&#160; I can’t wait for coconut to come out again!</p>

Thanks for sharing the foods you all never get tired of ~&#160; I definitely have a few new favorites to add to my list of things to try like <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/worth-repeating#comments">Jenny’s Guaca-Salad</a></strong>.&#160; Today I had the chance to be a *star* on <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/serious-tv">Serious TV</a></strong> again.&#160; It’s fun to get all dressed up for it, but, I have to say I am more of a fan of business casual over suits any day.</p>

<p>My co-worker was teasing me today because I’d pick up 1 piece of fruit or 1 “chip” and pair it with a nut for every bite.&#160; I told him it’s how they make it Salty &amp; Sweet….he said, putting it all in your mouth at once accomplishes the same thing LOL.</p>
<p>Keep in mind this comes from someone who filled his shirt pocket with the mix and “discreetly” ate it from his pocket during the board meeting.&#160; Yup, I am pretty sure we need to get out more….but, it’s the little things that like that which make <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/serious-tv">Serious TV</a></strong> fun!</p>

<p>Since it was pouring rain, I traded in my Chef Salad for soup as soon as I learned they had White Bean &amp; Turkey Barley Soup at the Café.</p>
<p><strong>Soup Fusion</strong>!!!! 1/2 White Bean mixed with 1/2 Turkey Barley….it was totally like a smoky, Thanksgiving Soup that was packed with veggies and nutty barley. (6 points+)</p>

<p>BBQ Chicken!!!&#160; This is definitely on my top 10 list and it is the easiest thing to make.&#160; We grill organic chicken legs (that we buy for super cheap at Trader Joe’s ($3 for 6) for 35-40 minutes over medium heat.</p>
<p>Then, baste them with BBQ 3-4 times during the last 5-10 minutes. (3 points+)</p>

<p>I spent way too long in the bread section yesterday with my points+ calculator in hand.&#160; Several breads that I normally would LOVE have way too many points+ (like 5-6 for 2 slices) and others, well, they taste just so healthy LOL.</p>
<p>I finally ended up with 2 types in hand and this morning I tried <strong><a href="http://www.miltonsbaking.com/product-detail/whole-grain">Milton’s Healthy Whole Grain Bread</a></strong> for my 7 points+ egg-wich.</p>
<p>It was just OK…it tastes really healthy and I couldn’t even begin to fool The Husband with this one.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Happy Monday All!&#160; I have been looking forward to today for over a week now.&#160; I knew we would be having a few team celebrations at work and they would all involve some of my FAVORITE foods.&#160; Sometimes you have to join in the <strike>food</strike> fun and live a little!&#160; I knew exactly what I was going to pick for breakfast, lunch would be up in the air and I’d make sure to balance it all out with a lighter dinner.&#160; You know what ~ it totally worked and I enjoyed every single bite (tracking it even!) without guilt!</p>
<p>My indulgent day day started with my absolute FAVORITE BAGEL in the world….(well aside from Blueberry with Fresh Blueberry Cream Cheese)</p>
<p><strong>Panera’s Cinnamon Crunch Bagel</strong> ~ it’s worth every single 11 points+…..it’s doughy, chewy, topped with a buttery cinnamon sugar crunch topping.</p>

<p>My co-workers picked the place we went out for our team lunch today and we ended up at <strong><a href="http://www.starginger.com/lg-restaurant.php">Lemon Grass Restaurant.</a></strong>&#160; I LOVE Thai Food and Vietnamese too ~ mix them together and you get delicious Asian Fusion cuisine!</p>
<p>I knew I’d like this place because we actually ate at one of their <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/planes-trains-and-automobiles">Grills when we waited at the Sacramento Airport</a></strong> this past year.</p>
<p>Let me just preface this by saying, I am adding this to my list of top <strong>10 BEST RESTARAUNTS</strong> in Sacramento.</p>

<p>Fresh, crisp and the “secret” is totally in that amazing sweet, spicy &amp; nutty peanut sauce.</p>

<p>Tomorrow I am definitely getting my walk on and I plan on staying on track the rest of the week to balance it out.</p>

<p>I totally earned my activity points this weekend ~ I rototilled the soil myself by hand then, planted everything with bird netting on top to keep the cats out…fingers crossed they all grow!</p>

<p>I topped homemade tortilla chips with 1/4 cup “nacho cheese”, 1/4 cup chili, 1/2 oz Low-Fat sharp cheddar, jalapenos, tomatoes, green onions, guacamole &amp; 0% Greek Yogurt. (10 points+)</p>
<p>So good it’s hard to believe they are not bad!</p>

<p>I am also glad that I FINALLY woke up this morning with normal (not STARVING) hunger levels.&#160; I still stuck with my Protein Packed Breakfast.</p>
<p>The Husband said my Sausage Egg-Wich looked like Alien eyes with the sausage cut in half LOL.</p>

<p>Breakfast kept me full for 6 hours and helped me power through my 3.4 mile lunch time walk.&#160; As some of you know, I LOVE using my <strong><a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wsl.CardioTrainer&amp;hl=en">FREE Cardio Trainer App</a></strong> on my phone to track my miles whether I am walking or running.</p>
<p>There is a NEW FEATURE, I am IN LOVE with ~ Each day, it tells me a FOOD equivalent for how many calories I burned.&#160; Today I burned 6 tomatoes and yesterday 4 bananas ~ so FUN!</p>
<p>I couldn’t wait to dive into my <strong><a href="http://danicasdaily.com/recipage?recipe_id=6001409">Butternut Squash Soup</a></strong> for lunch (4 points+) ~ I NEVER get tired of it, but, I DID put the last container in the freezer so I’d eat something different tomorrow <img style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-top-style: none; border-right-style: none" class="wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile" alt="Winking smile" src="http://danicasdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile1.png" /></p>

<p>I brought a yogurt and Sea Salt N Vinegar Almonds ~ the almonds totally won over as the addition to my lunch (1/2 oz = 2 points+).</p>

<p>I can usually resist most HOLIDAY candy because I can plan for it and have candy any time throughout the year.&#160; I do NOT need to have it because it is in a cute little wrapper.</p>

<p>I decided to have my afternoon snack before heading out to the train so I wouldn’t be STARVING by the time I walked in the door.</p>

<p>Dinner tonight was fast, fresh and healthy.&#160; It literally took less than 30 minutes from start to finish.</p>
<p>We made up <strong>Teriyaki Chicken &amp; Veggie Bowls</strong>.&#160; I marinated the chicken last night in Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki then, grilled it while I stir-fried the veggies.</p>
<p>I started with 1/2 cup of Trader Joe’s Organic Brown Rice ~ it is in the freezer section and takes only 3 minutes to cook! (3 points+)</p>

<p>Layer on the Asian Veggie Mix that I stir fried for 5 minutes then finished with a little teriyaki.</p>

<p>I finished with 3 oz Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Breast Tenders drizzled with Teriyaki.&#160; Oh and I totally dotted everything with Sriracha Hot Sauce.</p>
<p>My entire Healthy Teriyaki Chicken and Veggie bowl was only 6 points+!</p>

<p>It’s all set ~ I just have to put the crockpot on tomorrow and let it simmer on low all day. </p>
<p>Recipe coming up tomorrow.&#160; I am wondering if we will eat it as chili with all the fixin’s or make chili cheese nachos.</p>
