The Wonderful Chobani Loaf recipe looks amazing! I like their recipes a lot, as its fun to see how to use greek yogurt in dishes (it’s so creamy, I bet it’s really good in desserts)! Thanks for the giveaway!

Have NOT tried chobani before, but I REALLY love greek yogurt and I looked on the website and found that the yogurt was not made with artificial sweetners and can be used in many recipes to create delish desserts!!

I learned that it has double amount of protein and that you can freeze it for up to 3 months. The bacteria can be dormant too..that’s was surprising to me.

I learned that their vanilla only has 20 more calories than the plain. Yummy – and low-cal! What’s not to love ;-)

Thanks for the giveaway.

I learned that the yogurt includes 5 live & active cultures, including 3 probiotics! And it has 18 grams of protein!

Reply

Marissa November 11, 2009 at 12:43 pm

The cultures in the yogurt become dormant when frozen, but become live and active once thawed by the fridge or your body heat when eaten! Yogurt is such an odd food, but oh so delicious :]

I didn’t even think of using Chobani for anything other than eating with fruit and yogurt. Great recipes section. The pumpkin muffins look especially good this time of year.

I learned that what makes Chobani “Greek” is the straining process used to produce a thick and creamy yogurt!

Reply

Anne K. November 11, 2009 at 3:12 pm

I learned Chobani is naturally lower in lactose than regular yogurt cause of the straining process. Cool!

Reply

Alison November 11, 2009 at 3:15 pm

I learned that sugar helps feed “bad bacteria”. Interesting!

WOW!!! greek yogurt is my favorite. I had no idea that it takes them 3 pounds of milk to make one pound of chobani yogurt. That is kinda crazy. They also get their milk from local farmers which is really cool and makes me want to buy their product even more.

Megan November 11, 2009 at 4:31 pm

First of all, I’m OBSESSED with greek yogurt (as you probably know ;) )

And I LOVE that chobani works so closely with non-profit organizations and that their yogurt is SO good for you! And the chobani master… his name is mustafah! I think that’s awesome too :)

Lastly… their t-shirts are really cool :)

I love their yogurt, my favorite is the pineapple though sadly I can’t find that one at any of my local stores. I have never been to Chobani’s website before, I would have had NO idea that they had a recipe section, how cool! I think that the lemon-blueberry chobani loaf looks so delicious. I am thinking of trying that out this week. Pumpkin muffins would be great this time of year too.

Chobani Greek yogurt is yum, yum, yummy! I learned that those with lactose sensitivities can eat chobani without tummy upset because it is naturally low in lactose due to the straining process they use. The probiotics they add also help break down the lactose in the yogurt! This is good news for this girls sensitive tummy!!!

My fave is BLUEBERRY!! Thanks for the giveaway!

Lauren November 12, 2009 at 12:29 am
