Happy Saturday All! Danica is off to BlogHerFood09 in San Francisco, so she left me in charge. She is sooooo excited! And of course, I’m excited too – COLLEGE FOOTBALL ALL DAY!!! No need to get out of my PJ’s. GO CALFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS!!!!

Hmmmm BREAKFAST – donuts, HUGE bowl of cereal, Starbuck’s (Caramel Frapuccino w/whip)…..ok, I’ll be good and do it the “Danica” way…..Toast with fruit!
Instead of posting about lunch and dinner, I think I’d like to share a story with you.
On May 5, 2009, I got a text from Danica asking me if I wanted to go to see “The View” LIVE from their studio audience for their May 11th show. I was like WOW, I think they tape that in New York City – how are we going to get plane tickets to NYC within a week? So, I called her and she said I had it all mixed up. It’s “The View From The Bay” in San Francisco – oops LOL. It was just as exciting, but without the HUGE airfare. She wanted to go see Hungry-Girl Lisa Lillien. To be honest…..I wasn’t as interested in going but I wanted to support my wife.
After the show we went to the Macaroni Grill for an early dinner and then to the Hungry-Girl book signing in El Cerrito, Ca. There must have been 100 people at the book signing – 98 women, and 2 LOYAL husbands. While Lisa was having a Q&A session, Danica seemed to really know a lot of the answers to the questions. I was very impressed with her – I was like, WOW….my wife is a food guru or something. (I think that Lisa Lillien was a little impressed too.)
After the signing Danica talked to Lisa for a while and she gave Danica a bunch of items for a blog giveaway. I thought that was very nice. And here I thought I was just going to be tagging along, being a good husband on a wife’s torturous journey, kind of like a LONG shopping day.
But after this long day of Hungry-Girl mania, I must say it was well worth it to see my wife so excited and happy, I wouldn’t have missed a minute of it. Lisa aka Hungry-Girl, is fun, personable and friendly. In my book….rated A+ for Awesome! I think I am a fan now too.
Pre-game College Football is STARTING – gotta go! GO BEARS!!!
