Lunch at the Centre Cafe

by DanicasDaily on July 31, 2009

For lunch today we went to the Centre Cafe, the newly opened placed that is owned by Kinyon & Tulocay Catering.  It is all part of the Made In Napa Valley family where they use several amazing Made In Napa Valley Products in what they make.

After you place your order at the counter, they give you a number in a handmade little tree ~ cute!

The interior in the Centre Cafe and their Made In Napa Valley store is cozy yet classy.  I really LOVE the accents of the rock, the wood tables and decorations throughout.

I thought their table decorations were so cool.  Look closely ~ the arrangement includes asparagus, green onions and parsley.

Since we had a 2 for 1 coupon for lunch, we decided to splurge a little and get their “Fry Sampler”.  I LOVE the sweet potato fries are rubbed with a smoked chili & brown sugar rub and honestly probably picked out all of them from here.  Oh and they serve it up with a roasted red pepper ketchup that is AMAZING!

I ordered the Tulocay Flatbread ~ “A Parmesan flatbread with housemade pesto, roasted red peppers and fontina cheese; topped with dfresh greens tossed in garlic herb balsamic vinaigrette.” They use Made In Napa Valley Garlic Parmesan Dipping Oil in the dressing ~ YUM!  I had 2 slices of my pizza and all my salad.

My flatbread was loaded with roasted red peppers, pesto and that fontina cheese was sooooo creamy!  It was really a rich and decadent pizza.

My co-worker ordered the Garden Calzone “ Fire roasted organic vegetables and creamy goat cheese, wrapped in herb pizza dough” They use the Made IN Napa Valley Roasted Tomato Tapenade with it. It looked delicious, now, if I only liked goat cheese :D LOL….

It was a great way to spend a Friday afternoon lunch even if it seemed like the shortest hour ever.  We did head over to the Made In Napa Valley store next door and I managed to not buy anything ~ Phew!

I am not sure what we are doing tonight, but, I am sure The Husband will want to do something since he has been home all day.  Just a little bit longer and the weekend starts ~ yeah!

See you all later!

That calzone looks yum!!! I bet you could easily re-create the garden calzone using TJ”s ww dough (I just used it for the first time tonight and its cheap and FABULOUS) plus tons of roasted garden veggies and sauce :) cheese or no cheese – up to you – voila homemade calzone!!!!

YUM!! Your lunch looks so good!
The restaurant looks super charming — I love those bistro-type chairs. They’re very French.
