You talkin’ to me???

by DanicasDaily on November 2, 2009

I definitely think my brain is still working PRE-Day Light Savings time.  I woke up at 3 am and tried/pretended to sleep until I finally dragged myself out of bed at 5 something *sigh*  The Husband was up early too and was really excited to share his NEW PHONE!  He said he wanted a NEW PHONE TOO so HE GOT ONE!

IMG_4205

He was talking into his “phone” and dialing with a whole skit – Yup, it was only 6 amish!  OMG, I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes…..but, wait, it gets better.

He EVEN drew #’s on his phone!

IMG_4210

Then, told me he ran out of minutes!!!

IMG_4212

STILL cracking up over this ~ Love him!!  Breakfast involved one of my new Nature Path Cereals that I got last week ~ Organic Gluten-Free Whole O’s.

IMG_4214

Simple Clean ingredient list.

IMG_4215

FANTASTIC stats for being gluten free! I am impressed that there is STILL 3 g of fiber without the gluten :)

IMG_4216

I “mixed up” my own cereals adding 2 Tbsp of Nature’s path Organic Pumpkin Flax Plus Granola.

IMG_4217

And The Husband’s new cell phone a banana!  I added 1 c ff milk after I took the picture.

IMG_4218

The VERDICT ~ I really liked the Whole O’s.  They stayed crunchy all the way down to the last bite and had a nice flavor.  I honestly couldn’t tell they were a gluten free food.

I LOVE cereals but they don’t keep me full for long.  About 3 hours later, I snacked on a Trader Joe’s Lite Cheddar Cheese stick with a mini fuji apple.

IMG_4222

Lunch was AWESOME in every way.  I headed out to get a pedicure and was a  TOTAL dork reading my manual/playing with my phone the entire time.  I honestly think this was one of the BEST pedicures I’ve ever had.  I feel like my feet went “ahhhh” and I seriously could’ve napped after.

I was STARVING when I got back so I whipped up a fast lunch.  It started with the new Sabra Trader Joe’s Roasted Red Pepper Hummus on TJ’s FF Multi-Grain Bread.

IMG_4224

Plus 98% FF Honey Turkey & Ham and Sargento Low Fat Swiss~ Delish!

IMG_4230

I added some Salt & Pepper Pop Chips for crunch.  I actually put them IN my sandwich since I missed out on crunchy veggies in there :D

IMG_4227

Dessert was a super sweet organic orange.

Today was insanely busy at work but in a good way.  When I looked up it was well past snack time, but, I wanted something sweet. So, I had the last of my Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Crisps in my desk plus 2 more.  LOVE these – must get more!

IMG_4231

I couldn’t believe it was almost dark when I left at 5.  I guess I am trading my beautiful sunrises for sunsets and a FULL moon.

IMG_4232

When I got home I whipped up what I thought would be a quick dinner.  Then, I remembered I’ve NEVER cooked rice on the stove.  Yes, I am spoiled and use a rice cooker.  In the end, dinner was absolutely worth the wait!

Tonight’s new recipe is Cheesy, Bacon & Bean Stuffed Peppers!

IMG_4269

WOW ~ words cannot describe these awesome BROWN RICE stuffed peppers.  Oh and did I mention they are HEALTHY and LOW-FAT!!!  I’ll post the recipe tonight or tomorrow for you all!

You have 3 ways to enter to win 5 Boxes of Nature’s Path!

I am off to get in a quick workout and catch some zzzzz’s!

Your husband is a cutie.
That stuffed pepper looks amazing – I can’t wait for the recipe. I’ll have to sub out the bacon though…
I always use a rice cooker as well – I’m generally a pretty competent cook, but I ALWAYS screw up rice on the stove.

Your hubby is hilarious, something my hubby would do for sure.

Oh and must get some of those dark chocolate crisps. My Trader Joe’s list is getting longer every time I stop by your blog. Didn’t know they had string cheese either. Hmmmm

Banana phone! lol

Little nutrition note- Gluten is the protein in wheat, barley and rye- fiber is a carbohydrate! They don’t go hand in hand… just needed to clear that up!

Those stuffed peppers look TO DIE FOR! Yum!!
