BYOD!

Happy Friday Eve all! Thanks for all the compliments on the Bacon Inside Out Cheese Burger Sliders ~ they really are as FANTASTIC if not more than they look.  Ohhhh and thanks for letting me know I am not the only one who cannot follow directions when making a recipe ~ I actually LOVE that you all venture out and put your own spin on recipes too.

Honestly The weekend just cannot come fast enough this week.  Then again, it could be because next week is a short 2-day week before we are off to VEGAS!!!! Open-mouthed smile

I was a little hungrier than just my banana this morning, so I paired it with one these Brown Cow 0% Greek Yogurts that I picked up at Sam’s Club ~ an entire 12 pack was only $10.

They come in blueberry & strawberry and both flavors are 3 points+ each.  I really like them ~ it’s a nice change from my usual plain.

IMG_2583

I ROCKED my workout today and I can honestly say that because it was tough, I pushed through it and I NEVER stopped when I wanted to just walk.  I did the C25K, week 4.1

I knew EXACTLY what I wanted for my mid morning snack so I went for it.

2 slices Trader Joe’s FF Multi-Grain Bread topped with 1 Tbsp Whipped Butter (5 points+)

IMG_3352

Plus a HUGE bowl of melon!  I cannot get enough watermelon this time of year.

IMG_3351

Today I earned TWO BRAVO stickers and seriously if I had them, I would be putting them on my tracker LOL.  We had a “Sports Themed” day at work that included a lunch of hot dogs and salads from Top Dog

I could’ve totally participated, counted the points+ and moved on.  But, when I really thought of how many points+ it would cost me (almost all of them I get in a day) and the fact that I would still be hungry, I decided to

BYOD ~ Bring Your Own Dog!

I cooked up a Trader Joe’s Veggie Corn Dog (4 points+)

IMG_3371

Plus Veggies with 2 Tbsp’s Bolthouse Ranch (2 points+)

IMG_3375

And GRAPES!

IMG_3373

I totally participated with everyone at lunch but it only cost me 6 points+ and it was just as delicious to me!

IMG_3374

I rewarded myself with 2 squares of Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel that I showed you all yesterday (3 points+)

IMG_3355

Then, the afternoon brought challenge #2 ~ We had an It’s It Party to celebrate the birthdays for the month.

I wanted one….I really did even after I checked that they were 9 points+

My co-worker even offered to half it with me….

But, when it came down to it, I decided I’d rather eat more food tonight than to go to bed hungry and I didn’t want to go over my points+ today.

IMG_3377

Instead, I stuck to my healthy 3 points+ snack and felt SO EMPOWERED!

IMG_3382

IMG_3383

I LOVE this corn…it’s salty, sweet, crunchy!

IMG_3384

We have my Nieces Graduation tonight so I know dinner is going to involved 2 Inside Out Bacon Cheese Burger Sliders (10 points+) with Italian Veggies…

IMG_3331

And the rest of our grilled veggies!

IMG_3349

I am so PROUD OF ME TODAY for my choices and sticking to what mattered to me the most…I don’t feel deprived ~ I feel empowered!

What are those things in plastic that you passed up? Congrats on all your great choices. Do you like egg whites? I eat one hard cooked egg and one white for extra protein and zero points. I find that when I eat eggs in the morning, I’m not hungry for hours. Yesterday, I had one of those jimmy dean bagel delites and I was full until 1:30pm.

thought of you immediately when i saw this on a chowdown post about new Tj finds!..

“bistro biscuits are new, and i love them! they seem to be an homage to biscoff biscuits, a belgian specialty–in france i’ve purchased biscoff spread, which is like peanut butter, but with this distinctive cookie flavor. so yum. hard to describe–a bit gingerbread-y..a crisp, faintly spicy cookie that would make a terrific cookie crust for cheesecake or an ice cream pie.

re: chez cherie I just saw those yesterday. I’d have bought some, but had just received my mail order of Biscoff. BTW, they give you a couple samples of the Biscoff spread in your order.

Hi Randi,

They were It’s It ~ chocolate covered cookies with ice cream in the middle. It’s a good thing to not know what they are – they are really THAT good lol.

I do LOVE egg whites and totally need to remember adding one for protein. Thanks for idea!

Mmmmm, I LOVE breakfast sandwiches.

Danica, where do you buy the corn snack you showed?

HI Elizabeth,

I have seen them in 3 places ~ Whole Foods, Raley’s (My local grocery store) and Harvest House (Health Food Store). I think you can order them online too.
